The Hotel Intercontinental is a high-end hotel with an exclusive North Michigan Avenue destination. The former Shriner Building was combined with the former Marriott Hotel for a total of 850 hotel rooms.
Directed and facilitated the construction of new development projects and improvements, participating in all project phases. Analyzed potential impediments and quickly implemented solutions to meet project timelines and cost objectives. Budget of $70M. Responsibilities included: renovation—cost control, program development, construction manager and design team management, oversight of FF&E program and all city approvals. Completed 1999-2001.
